The last time we saw young Tommy Rees, he was showing off his UFC fighting skills against local law enforcement in an attempt to distract everyone from the fact that he's a poor decision maker with weak arm and bad downfield vision.
So, to all the Notre Dame fans who are looking to get rid of the troubled quarterback who can't seem to stop throwing the ball to the other team: Your coach has decided to give him another chance, and Reese is practicing with the team.

Welcome to #TeamGarcia, Notre Dame fans. Only this version of #TeamGarcia doesn't have naked girls in hotel rooms, keg parties in the front lawn, and he's going to get you a loss against Michigan State.
There is no first-team in summer workouts, all that article said was he was allowed to practice, which isn't surprising.
ReplyDeleteZero percent chance he starts the Navy game...tweetdat.
So who is your money on? Everett Golson or Gunner Kiel?
DeleteHey, on the bright side, maybe Rees' UFC moves would be good against that Navy defense.
Rees is a wild-man...he's going to come out fired up! He'll start and be ready to prove he h8ters wrong.
ReplyDeleteRees isn't a wild-man, but he does have EXPERIENCE. Golson, Hendrix, and Gunner don't have it. Rees should start the season and teach the newer boys.
DeleteMy money on Golson to start with Hendrix close behind. Gunner will preserve a year (redshirt for non-ND folks). If Rees has to play we're looking at a losing season.
ReplyDeleteCoach Kelly should get an ESPN special for when he makes "The Decision" on who is starting QB1 for the Irish.
