The ol' US Government isn't exactly filling me with confidence that it could run the healthcare system better than what we have now. Also, the profit motive, competition, and the individual creating something new would be suppressed in a national healthcare model. The national model isn't perfect.
However, I was simply making an observation on what happens when you offer something for free.
Taxpayers are already paying for the healthcare of the poor. Nationalized healthcare would be far cheaper than "corporatized" healthcare.
