Is Obama pulling a "crazy Ivan" and signaling a veto of a deal on the debt ceiling that does not include higher taxes? Is this bluffing, or is he committed to this position now? Will the GOP leadership cave and agree to a tax hike? Even if they do, will the GOP rank and file go along with it? There doesn't appear to be much room for middle ground here. Just remember, every statement from Obama comes with an expiration date and the GOP isn't as tough as everyone thinks it is.
As Capt. Bart Mancuso said: "The hard part about playing chicken is knowin' when to flinch."
